Is Therapy Right for my Teen?
Deciding whether or not to seek out therapy for your teen is confusing. Many parents come to me during some of the most difficult times in their parenting journeys. Other parents come to me looking for a place where their teen can feel seen, heard, and understood by another caring adult.
Therapy is a safe space for teens and young adults to gain wisdom, feedback, and direction about how to move forward during times of stress or transition. Some teens come to my office when they are facing significant mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, OCD, trauma, or relationship issues, while others are just looking for safe space to land. Regardless of what initially brings you and your teen to therapy, we will work together to tailor a therapeutic relationship that meets your individual needs.
